May I sail upon your sea.
May we go through life together;
May there always be a “we.”

May I be your endless sky;
May you breathe my gentle air.
May you never wonder why
Each time you look for me, I’m there.

May we be for each a smile
Like the warm, life-giving sun;
Yet when we’re in pain awhile,
May our suffering be one.

May we share our special days,
The happiness of one for two;
And if we must go separate ways,
Let my love remain with you.

A friend is like a ray of sunshine
Making a brighter day
That fills our life with a light so bright
All the clouds are driven away.

A friend is like beautiful music
That lingers in our heart
And when a lovely melody is heard
The ills of life depart.

A friend is like a refreshing breeze
Making sure we feel at ease
Bringing happiness into our life
Always sharing our pain and strife.

A friend I hold close to my heart
Even when we are miles apart
I pray and thank God every day
For a friend He sent my way.

For the closeness way down deep that comes
with trust and honesty.

For the ordinary, everyday, “just-called-to-say” surprises,
For promises you keep and “cause-you-love-me” compromises.

For “I care so much about you”, and “I’ll be there till the end.”
For God who blessed my life with such a special friend.

I found my way to you,
my friend across the computer lines
my heart, my soul, that’s who.

You always make me smile
with the mail you send my way.
You never fail to drop a line
each and every day.

Whenever I have hurried home
with something, I must share,
I find it just so comforting
that you are always there.

Encouragement you give me,
and a friendship that is true.
I’m glad my soul while reaching out
found someone…like you.

A friend is someone special
who you find along life’s path,
One who you can tell your fears
and know…they will not laugh.

A friend’s the one who call you up
and is sad when you’re not there,
Someone you can count on
and any secret share.

No one’s truly certain
just how a friendship grows,
yet surely, slowly, through the years
a true friend is disclosed.

My best regards to you I send,
And from a heart sincere and true
All happiness I’m wishing you.

May you be free from all distress
And meet with real and true success,
May no misfortune come to you,
May all your friends prove kind and true.

But should your earthly friends depart
Remember still there is one heart
That beats for you with tender love;
This is your eternal friend above.

May God ‘from whom all blessings flow’,
His benefits on you bestow
And save and keep you, day by day,
In His own good and pleasant way.

Let us in God put all our trust,
And seek His blessed Kingdom first,
To Him be true, and we shall meet
Some day upon the golden street.

Yesterday’s tears build a river,
Washing the soul of its pain…
Cleansing the heart and mind,
Like a gentle sweet spring rain.

When you feel you have cried your river
And the throat aches from tears shed
And the mind is exhausted from feeling
Or the heart feels it is now dead…

Raise your eyes to the skies and recall
How beautiful a full moon can be.
See the stars shining gently on us all,
And remember how good friends can be.

Call that friend you know is there,
Waiting to help you escape your pain,
The one who does not judge, but listens,
So you may one day love again!
