A house becomes a home when you can write ‘I love you’ on the furniture. I can’t tell you how many countless hours that I have spent cleaning. I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect – ‘in case someone came over.’ Then I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!

1. Smile at strangers . . . it costs nothing and can add a lot to your and their day.
2. Refuse to get involved in ‘my story is worse than yours’ contests . . . after all, who cares anyway.

I am seldom considered, though I do more to influence everything about you than virtually any one thing in your life. I often control the time you get up in the morning, the time you go to sleep, what you eat and drink and the very thought that runs through your head.

May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good.

Long ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit.

Little Johnny was visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back, he saw grandma’s pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved.

One day an elderly man entered into a hospital. He was grumpy from being on medication and the nurse’s thought him to be insane as he yelled for his wife to get the apple basket.
