My daily wish is that we may
See good in those who pass our way;

I’d put it there to hide.

This is a true story about a boy who, the world might say, was a terrible
underachiever. While in the eighth grade, he failed subjects repeatedly.
High school wasn’t much better; he flunked Latin, algebra, English, and
received a grade of zero in physics.

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully, and before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom and also the thorns. And he thought, “How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns?”

He almost didn’t see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road. But even
in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in
front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he
approached her.

Wishing to encourage her young son’s progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.

If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in its place,
but have not love, I am a housekeeper–not a homemaker.
If I have time for waxing, polishing, and decorative achievements,

“Yes, Lord!!” This morning I asked, “How much more can I take; What else must I do for Your name’s sake? I’m running this race to get closer to You. But, my God, I can’t believe the things I go through. “The stress and struggles of this thing called life.

One of these days you’ll explode
and shout to all the kids,
Why don’t you just grow up
and act your age?

o often we go through life, just trudging through one day after another
Feeling as if there is no meaning to life. One day is the same as the next.
Not really understanding “Why am I here?” or What difference can I make?”
The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood.
