It is not to far to Christmas
When miracles come true
I watch the skaters fly as if they had wing
And the brightly lit stores
Gifts Santa Claus will bring
God sent me an earth angel
From His Kingdom above
Someone to care for me
And given with love
Dear Lord,
At this time of season,
please open our hearts.
May we learn to be givers, not takers,
for only then can we feel blessed.
There’s something about Christmas
That brings special friends to mind.
For through the years they touch our hearts
by being warm and kind.
Christmas is a time for holly,
Wreaths and evergreens.
It’s a time to tell those near and far
How much they really mean.

Loving Father,
help us remember the birth of Jesus,
That we may share in the song of the angels,
The gladness of the shepherds,
And worship of the wise men.
Dear Father,
It is Christmas time again. Help me this year to “season” the
celebration with “reason.” Teach me to plan with my family.
May I avoid the clutter that dims my vision and burdens my time.
God Give Us eyes this Christmas
To see the Christmas Star.
And give us ears to hear the song
of angels from afar
May your Christmas be filled
With beautiful hours
And memories lovely to hold
To enhance and embellish
The days of your years,
Like angel wings sprinkled with gold
Snowflakes softly falling
Upon your window they play.
Your blankets snug around you,
Into sleep you drift away.
I bend to gently kiss you,
when I see that on the floor
there’s a letter, neatly written
I wonder who it’s for.
