Let me remember the trees and laughter
On a day in Spring
I see a painted Canvas of loved one’s dancing
At Holiday’s so giving and caring
Wedding’s so gay and happy
Those were the way we were

I see the sands of Iraq
My husband fighting back
The sand drift so deep
To trudge on and on
With your weary feet
So hard to run
In that burning sun,

Up the airy mountain
Down the rushy glen,
We daren’t go a-hunting,
For fear of little men;
Wee folk, good folk,
Trooping all together;
Green jacket, red cap,
And white owl’s feather.
Down along the rocky shore
Some make their home,
They live on crispy pancakes
Of yellow tide-foam;
Some in the reeds
Of the black mountain-lake,
With frogs for their watch-dogs,
All night awake.

I met God in the morning
When my day was at its best,
And his presence came like sunrise
Like a glory in my breast.

Let me do my work each day; and if the darkened hours of despair
overcome me, may I not forget the strength that comforted me
in the desolation of other times.

Love
When the power of love
Replaces the love of power
Man will have a new name: God.

With a confident, easy mind?

Or fearfully pause to view it?

Life, sometimes so wearying
Is worth its weight in gold
The experience of traveling
Lends a wisdom that is old
Beyond our ‘living memory’

A lovely day is made up of 24 hours.
A lovely week is made up of 7 lovely days.
A lovely year is made up of 52 lovely weeks
But my life became lovely just because you love me.

I love you not because you are beautiful
I love you not because you are rich
I love you not because you have the characteristics that I am looking for
I love you, simply because you are who you are.
