I enter the home of poverty,
causing pale-faced children to open their
eyes wide in pleased wonder.
There once was a shining Christmas tree
Standing out where all could see.
Its brilliance captured every eye
And seemed to cheer each passer-by.
The gifts I’d leave beneath your tree,
Aren’t those that you can touch or see,
Not wrapped in Christmas tissue gay
But gifts to bless you every day.
For a Special Friend at Christmas of all the gifts I’ve ever received,
your friendship is one of the most precious.

Every day is Christmas
When you have the kind of mind,
That stores up all the goodness
And the sweetness it can find.
When you don’t need an occassion,
To spread a bit of cheer,
But just keep on a-giving,
Of yourself throughout the year.
Christmas is not for the young or old,
It’s for all those whose love is bold.
The dreams of things that you don’t have,
Thoughts of days that seemed so sad.
Do you know it’s Christmas,
A Little after Thanksgiving
And a shade before New Year,
A Day of triumphant light and love,
Love – the feeling you and I share,
Light – it has brought to our lives.
As Joseph was a-walking,
He heard an angel sing,
“This night shall be the birthright
of Christ our heavenly King.
The candymaker made the candy in the form of a “J” to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. It could also represent the staff of the “Good Shepherd ” with which He reaches down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs who, like all sheep have gone astray.
