May I light a Christmas candle
So it lights up in the night
Let me put it on my window
Where I see the stars so bright

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

When it comes to counting blessings,
There are surely very few
As precious and as meaningful as someone dear as you

Away in a manger, baby Jesus was born
The animal’s knew a blessed thing
Came to be. For on that night
They could talk to you and me

I see the Christmas star tonight
In the heavens shining bright
I feel the hearts of shepherds, watching o’er their sheep
In the quiet meadows, where little Jesus sleeps

There is a song for Christmas I like you to know
It comes deep in my heart like the purest snow
When I look at the night I see a star so bright
It warms me inside to see such a light

Oh Dear Lord……
Please keep them safe… protect and shield them with Your love….
Guide them safely through these days…

It is not to far to Christmas
When miracles come true
I watch the skaters fly as if they had wing
And the brightly lit stores
Gifts Santa Claus will bring

God sent me an earth angel
From His Kingdom above
Someone to care for me
And given with love

Dear Lord,
At this time of season,
please open our hearts.
May we learn to be givers, not takers,
for only then can we feel blessed.
