I have a gift, called friends from God
They give me courage
They give me love, reminding me
Of when a flower begins to open
Or a waterfall touches the sea, all
My friends are as beautiful as these

I have a gift from God
For He knew friends for me
Who would be there to talk to
Or could give me a gentle little pat
Make promises to never break
Or say words they
Would never need take back

As special as watching butterflies at play Or listening to the sparrow sing
Or watching a lovely deer of comfort Are such dear friends, That I can tell most anything

Yes, I have a gift, called friends from God
From every walk of life I treasure every moment with them
Sharing all my hopes and dreams And God’s nature,
with these Who have made a difference In who I am today…
They all gave me the hope
And freedom in their hearts
To carry on just one more day.

Although you’re tired and weary
Just rest the whole night through
As God gives us the mornings
To see all things anew.

For things look so much brighter
When they’re slept on a while
You wake up in the morning
And soon you want to smile.

You look and see the sunshine
The bright blue sky above
You wonder why you fretted
And you know God is love.

With all this to surround you
There’s naught but this to say
And so with song you praise Him
Give thanks for this new day.

Yes, God has all the answers
To problems big and small
We only have to tell Him
He’s at our beck and call.

So we must take our burdens
And lay them at His feet
Then trust unto His wisdom
That all our need He’ll meet.

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood
he received during a heart surgery in 1983.
From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:
‘Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease’?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

‘The world over — 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals,
when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD ‘Why me?’.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD ‘Why me?’ ‘

‘Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you humble,
Success keeps you glowing,

but only Faith & Attitude Keeps you going…

Perhaps we have not counted
All our blessings one by one;
Perhaps we have not bothered
To remember whence they come;

And maybe we have taken
Just for granted all the things
That the good Lord has created
And the gifts that nature brings.

The autumn hills in glory robed,
A golden field of grain,
A sunset’s dazzling splendor
Or the Milky Way’s great plain,

The starry sky’s sublimity,
The ocean’s mighty power,
The wonder of creation
In the petal of a flower.

And so if we have failed to show
By work act or deed
That we are thankful unto Him
Who fills our daily need,

May this day show we’re grateful
When we add up all the sum
Of blessings we remember,
As we count them one by one.

70 YEARS OF LIFE…

YOU WOULD SPEND:

23 years sleeping

14 years working

8 years at the television

8 years in amusement

6 years eating

4 years in transportation

4 years in conversation

1 year reading

1 year in education

IF you went to church every Sunday and stayed until the ending hymn
finished and prayed 5 minutes morning and night, you would be giving
God 5 months of your life.

5 months out of 70 years?

These are astounding numbers ~

I hope it makes you stop and think about your life
and how you spend it!

Help me Dear Lord, this day of yours
To battle my troubles and strives this day.
Bring me the light in my heart that you have given to me
And let your presence be evermore.

Fill my thoughts with the knowledge of your love,
take my hands in the happy realm above.
Cast off my problems, which defile my thoughts,
and which have burdened my very soul.

When days are dark and nights are long
and your faith is fading,
look up there is a ray of hope.
The Father of light is calling you
by your name from above.

He hears your heart cries and He feels
your pain, help is on the way.
Your best years are ahead of you,
for God has plans of hope and a bright future for you.

When days are dark
they are a prelude to many days of light that is just ahead of you.
When days are dark, keep looking up and praying
for the dawning of day in your life.
God your Father will see you through when days are dark.

When your strength is failing
and you are faltering in your faith
pause for a moment, take a deep breath
and God your Father who is the source
of your strength, will refresh and re-kindle your faith.

Remember the battle is not yours,
it is the Lord’s battle, and He is
fighting for you.

Don’t ever forget to wait on the Lord.
God will continually give you strength
to overcome every trial and sustain you
in your weakest moments.

You think that God can’t use you because your life’s a mess,
God made you with potential God wants your very best.

It’s not how good or bad you are that brings the message to light,
It’s the fact that you’ve been changed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Abraham and Sarah were too old, but together a child was conceived Noah built a boat although the rain he did not see.

Rehab was a prostitute, Jacob was a liar Esau lost his inheritance as to Jacob’s desire.

Leah wasn’t beautiful, Joseph was abused Joseph was even sold, his brothers were very cruel.

Moses ran from Egypt because he killed a man Moses saw a burning bush, and history began.

Samson with his long hair, and his love for women Was given super strength to conquer those against him.

David was a boy, who then became a king.
David had an affair, then had to face his sin.

David lied and murdered, he killed an innocent man.
How can a man of God do such a thing like that?!

Jonah ran from God, but could not find a place to hide Naomi was a widow and Gideon was too scared to try.

Job went bankrupt, lost everything he had Never once blaming God, even though his heart was sad.

John the Baptist, now there was a sight.
A man eating bugs guiding people to the light.

The Samaritan woman was divorced many times And Peter the Rock, denied Jesus three times.

The disciples fell asleep when they were asked to pray Zaccheus was too small… Jesus ate with him that day.

Martha worried about everything, Thomas was full of doubt Paul persecuted Christians, but the hard way he found out…

It doesn’t matter who you are or what you might have done With Jesus Christ our savoir, the impossible can be done.

The blind will see—the deaf will hear The lame will walk—and none will fear The dumb will speak—
the sick will be healed The dead will live—when Jesus is near.

You might think that God can’t use you because your life’s a mess
God made you with potential; God wants your very best.

It’s not how good or bad you are that brings the message to light
It’s the fact that you’ve been changed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

So, the next time you feel that God just has no use for you Remember…
God is love He sent His Son to die for you.

The day has come and I’m going home
I’ll see my savior on His throne

Up up and away, in the air I’m gliding
With the elect of the Lord, I’m so happy, I’m excited!

Now I’m in heaven the home that I strived for
With family and friends, with the ones I adore

There ahead are the pearly gates, I’m singing as I enter in The grass is green,
the streets are gold, and WOW!  I don’t see anyone old!

Excuse me Sir, I’m looking for Jesus, I want to thank Him and worship Wait! 
This isn’t right!  I know you!  You stole from me!  How can this be?!

OH NO!  I know her, how did she get here?
I saw her kill and he drank lots of beer!

OH NO!  OH LORD!  How can this be?!
I know all these people, I know what they did!

They’re murders, thieves, liars, idolaters Drunkards and addicts, homosexuals and adulterers

Is it possible that this isn’t heaven at all?
Is it possible that I lost my way, did I fall?

But it’s beautiful here, it’s gorgeous and peaceful Oh!  There’s Jesus!  Oh thank you I’m grateful!

Jesus, I’ve been looking for you, I bow at your feet and thank you for you

But how in heaven did these people get here?
I’m shocked and appalled.  I thought this was heaven?

Jesus, it’s —— quiet, where is the music?
Where is the worship?  Why are they staring at me?

Child, I love you, I always have, you surrendered to me and I lived in your heart
I’m glad that you did… and now here you are

It’s quiet right now because you are here All these people are shocked because of the life that you lived!

Because you repented and applied the blood You stand here before me as pure as the snow

All of these people that you knew in your past Are all here in heaven just having a blast!

But when you walked through the pearly gates All of heaven got quiet because you escaped…

The tricks of the devil the lies and deceit That horrible life but then you became free

They stood in silence, in wonder, in awe That someone like you has made it this far

You wondered how all these people you knew Could get into heaven, and they wondered about you!

Judge not my child, do not be appalled
The things of the past are covered in my blood

Because you repented and changed your ways… Is the reason you’re here, do you want to stay?
