Guide Her Lord

She looks up at me,
with those sad dark eyes.
The pain she feels,
she keeps in disguise.

I don’t know the road she’s traveled,
it’s hidden deep within.
She doesn’t know where she’s going,
only where she’s been.

Her life in the past was tough,
that’s what brought her here.
I can only be there for her,
to wipe away her tears.

God made our paths cross,
and I often wonder why.
When I try and talk to her,
sometimes there’s no reply.

The pain that she has gone through,
it is so very real.
If you’ve never been there,
you won’t know how she feels.

I’m asking God to bless her,
to help her ease her strife.
That he will love and guide her,
Through the rest of her earthly life.
