You told me you loved me
One bright and beautiful day
You told me you loved me
As in your eyes I see
The very essence of me
You told me you loved me
Those words were sweet and true
Never in the whole world
Did I think our love would be this faithful or new
You told me you loved me
Then kissed my tender lips
I held you close to my soul
And rested on your chest
You told me you loved me
Within came a bright golden glow
We hold our love together
Never can we ever let it go
You told me you loved me
Then the birds began to sing
In the parks and meadows
We sang a song for two
What a wonderful sunrise
With a rainbow, so new
You told me you loved me
One lovely starlight night
Now and forever,
We will made love
And bring forth a brand new life.
