He was driving home one evening, on a two lane country road. Work in this
small Midwestern community, was almost as slow as his beat up Pontiac, but
he never quit looking. Ever since the factory closed, he’d been unemployed,
and with winter raging on, the chill had finally hit home.

It was a Monday morning unlike any other. It was 15 years ago and I can still recall every detail of that day, as if permanently burned into my memory. I replay the events in my mind and it feels as if my life is flashing before my eyes every time I tell the tale.

I feel the arms of God around me,
as I lay on my bed at night.
Asleep, I feel the Angel’s touch-
I’m surrounded and held tight.

NOTE: The battle rages on every side and it may feel like you are
going through some deep dark waters. The very foundation you
are standing on is being shaken. Yet you are victorious and will
emerge triumphant,

If you can show love
and not retaliate
on your beloved
who continues to
manipulate and control.

Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting.

When I need a quiet place
God draws me away
To a beautiful garden
Where I can pray.

Make me too brave to lie or be unkind.
Make me too understanding, too, to mind
The little hurts companions give, and friends,
The careless hurts that no one quite intends.

A lovely rose with leaves of green
Ascends upon the wall
With crimson red and floral spread
Does make one stand in awe

May I pray this night while the stars are out
May I close my eyes and see the beauty of heaven
can I walk with the lord on holy ground
my heart is good and I am kind
dear jesus may you be mine
