We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough and we’ll be more content when they are.

To believe is to know that
every day is a new beginning.
Is to trust that miracles happen,
and dreams really do come true.

In the morning when the dawn begins to break
I watch the sunrise, wake up from sleep,
How beautiful are the colors, red, orange and gold,
I look at the rainbow of light and watch nature come and go.

We all have days,
where getting out of bed is just too hard to do
And facing the world,
including all of life’s complications…

Do not… undermine your worth by comparing
yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Anywhere is a place of prayer, if God is there…

I have prayed in the morning light,
I have prayed all alone,
I have prayed in the silence of the darkness,
and I have prayed to the tune of a lark’s song.

Because of you I can see just how bright the sun can be,
Because of you I can turn into a butterfly,
I can fly into the sky, make a wish,

It’s been a long long trip down this long long road
With detours and distractions and bearing my heavy load.
