Mother’s Day

As a child you walked before me,
To lead by example.
As a teenager you walked behind me
Looking out for my back and being there when I needed you.

While we honor all our mothers
With words of love and praise.
While we tell about their goodness
And their kind and loving ways.

As I look back on my life
I find myself wondering…
Did I remember to thank you
for all that you have done for me?

Proverbs 31: 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
Proverbs 31: 25 Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

I said a Mother’s Day prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
for blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love.

There are times only when a Mother’s love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all our fears.

Mom, there are so many moments
when I wish you knew… how much you
matter to me, and how much I thank you
for being such a wonderful mother.

Mother is an undying love,
A love beyond compare,
the one you take your troubles to,
she is the one who really cares.
Mother you are all of this and more,
I love you very much.
